Manufacturer of the sedimentation rate instrument ESR Stat Plus, HemaTechnologies provides myriad clinics, hospitals, and medical institutions with this integral piece of equipment that assists healthcare professionals throughout the world. Following the Haitian earthquake in 2005, HemaTechnologies worked to give supplies and aid medical efforts in the area. The company also donated an ESR Stat Plus to the Whitney Clinic in Haiti, aiming to support the Catholic Church of Santa Monica and Sacre Coeur Parish, where the clinic is located.
The Georgian parishioners of the Catholic Church of Santa Monica in Duluth, Georgia, have diligently labored in assisting Hinche, Haiti’s Sacre Coeur Parish, established in 1999. Along with medical missions, scholarship programs, a soup kitchen, and the permanent Whitney Clinic, the Catholic Church of Santa Monica continues to raise money and provide medical aid to this area in need. Recent fundraising events have included the Haitian Seminarian Sponsorship Drive, which procured more than $20,000, and the Fifth Annual Hope for Haiti Gala. The Fourth Annual Hope for Haiti Gala raised nearly $100,000. For medical missions, the church has organized teams of nurses, physicians, hygienists, and dentists who have treated nearly 1,500 patients. HemaTechnologies continues its support of medical aid efforts carried out by the Catholic Church of Santa Monica. Committed to helping the Haitian citizens as well as people in other areas of the world that require such assistance, HemaTechnologies stands out as a unique organization, focused on manufacturing technology that can be used for good throughout the developed and developing world.
